Our spotlight has dimmed on one of Hale Theatre Co.'s finest...

On the evening of October 6, 2016, Thomas F. Miller passed peacefully surrounded by his family...

He touched so many lives with his gentle, kind, compassionate way.

There are no words that can express what he meant to

our family, or describe what an impact he had on all of us lucky enough to know and love him!

A gentle giant, with a heart of pure gold.

His smile and laughter...

could melt the coldest heart and brighten the darkest day.

And talent...

An actor's actor...visionary....so many tools...

powerful when called for- but equally warm and gentle.

He commanded every stage on whose boards he tread...
Like a moth to a flame-you were drawn to him...

just like when you met him in real life...
Tevye, Matthew Harrison Brady, Grandpa Vanderhof, Sheridan Whiteside, Teddy Brewster, Pilate, Herod, Senex, Major-General Stanley, Ernie Cusack, Juror #4, Max Prince, Mr. Bumble, Jake, Hilton Barber...

these were just some of the characters that Thom brought to life for you -his adoring public.

Not to mention, his directing triumphs for us- The Good Doctor and The Shadow Box,

and his wonderful performances in our "Murph-made" musicals like

American Spirit, This Land Is Your Land, What I Did For Love, Two-gether, and our Christmas shows.

For 25 years, he graced our stage...

and we shall be eternally grateful for that privilege.

 But even more so...

for the gift of your friendship, and the love you shared with each and everyone of us...

Take a long, well-deserved bow, my brother...

You will never be forgotten...
